Xana Kernodle 'fought back' against killer and 'repeatedly grabbed knife' before she was

Xana Kernodle, 20, (middle) fought back against her alleged attacker Bryan Kohberger (bottom right) and repeatedly grabbed the murder weapon before her death, sources said. The claims match an earlier report from her father Jeffrey, who revealed in November that his daughter's autopsy said her skin had 'bruises[ and was] torn by the knife.' Kaylee Goncalves, 21, and Madison Mogen, 21 were killed first before the killer attacked Kernodle and Ethan Chapin, 20, (together left). The accused mass murderer was also allegedly seen in the student union 'sitting by himself' weeks before the killings. One student who identified herself as Chelsea, a sophomore, said she saw Kohberger, a student at the nearby Washington State University, eating alone in the food court just weeks before the November 13 slayings.

Mysterious 'explosion in the sky' above Billings Montana where Chinese spy balloon was spotted infiltrating U.S airspace - as residents report seeing jet zoom by

The mysterious explosion in Billings, Montana was captured on camera by local Dolly Moore on Friday afternoon. It comes after the US State Department called the balloon, which was traveling over U.S. airspace at 60,000 feet, a 'clear violation' of U.S. sovereignty, but said it wouldn't be shot down because it was flying over a 'number of sensitive sites.' The footage shows a trail of smoke in the sky where the balloon was last spotted.

Pentagon Press Secretary Pat Ryder said reports showed 'a balloon transiting Latin America,' confirming that it was another Chinese surveillance balloon like the one in the U.S.

Former Pentagon officials have been left scratching their heads by the Biden administration's decision not to neutralize a Chinese spy balloon floating over U.S. mainland.

Why Pretty Baby star Brooke Shields is now telling the most disturbing 'Me Too' Hollywood

There's a movie scene in which the moral bankruptcy of 1970s Hollywood reaches its zenith. A heavily dolled-up 12-year-old girl is carried around a high-class brothel as drooling clients bid against each other to take her virginity. The child prostitute was played by actress Brooke Shields, who was just 11 during the filming of Pretty Baby and had to appear naked on screen as well as kiss a 29-year-old Keith Carradine. The studio that produced the film had reportedly preferred Jodie Foster, 14, for the role - but French director Louis Malle demanded it go to Shields. But for young Brooke, this was the start of a pattern of exploitation which, as she now claims in an explosive new documentary, culminated in her being raped in her early 20s at the hands of an industry insider.

On Facebook, Smith wrote about being mixed race, and posted lengthy musings about ethnicity and religion. The TikToker asked where she would have to move to and was told 'middle seat like a couple of rows back.' When she asked who the woman's son was, she was shocked to discover he was not a child but 'like a 6ft 5in man.'

China's spy balloon could be 120ft helium-powered airship equipped with snooping tools

The Pentagon's rejection of China's claim that a balloon detected floating over nuclear sites in the United States is a 'civilian' airship raises further questions about its surveillance capabilities. Analysts predict the balloon is about the size of 'three buses' and could be fitted with high-tech equipment including cameras, sensors and radar. Use of balloons to conduct spy missions dates back to the Cold War but modern-day systems can take advantage of the latest developments in surveillance technology. The balloon was floating about 60,000ft above the center of the continental United States at midday ET on Friday, the Pentagon said. The balloon's path had taken it over Montana, triggered fears it was gathering intelligence on nuclear missile sites in the state. China claimed on Friday morning that it is a civilian balloon used for meteorological and weather research. But in a briefing at the Pentagon several hours later, Brigadier General Patrick Ryder said: 'We know it's a surveillance balloon.'

After his death, it emerged that the trailblazing rock star - whose colossal career saw him share the stage with some of music's biggest names - was also loved as 'just a nice bloke' by his neighbours in East Sussex - who would see him pottering around the Co-op and supporting the local wildlife charity.

How desperate Russian soldiers would rather take their own lives than be Putin's cannon

In his three months on the frontline, the 25-year-old had witnessed scenes of scarcely believable horror. Stricken by panic attacks, he began drinking heavily. But it was when he was ordered to return to his unit for a second tour of duty that he decided he could take no more.

Instead, her peers filmed the merciless attack from the two boys and start cheering them on throughout the attack as they watched.
